characterisation

characterisation is playing a character and really enabling their thoughts and feelings into yourself so that whilst performing your are able to fully portray the charecter.

In lesson we watched videos of songs from the west side story and Sweeney todd.

West side story-2 videos of the same song

.Tony is exited and he an sense something coming

.sudden movement suggest he wants to know what is coming as soon as possible.

.he keeps a massive smile on his face to really exaggerate how the character is feeling.

.he wants a new life

.anticipation in his face

I personally preferred the second version mainly because I feel there is so much more expression pithing the song and the way that they are acting.

Sweeney Todd-

.I can sense a relationship between the two from the way they look each other throughout.

.Sweeney Todd is greedy because he wants to turn everyone into pie so that they can make a fortune.

.very sly and sneaky characters

.Both very dangerous and can not be trusted at all.

my characterisation in my solo-

For my solo I have decided to make it so that it has a lot more acting rather then singing as I'm not very confident with my singing and really struggle to come out of my comfort zone when it comes to it so I feel it would be best to take the spotlight of my voice and turn them worries into movements.
