Six rehearsals-week 2/3

Week 2 of rehearsals for six the musical-

Ex Wives/Ex Wives Repertoire:

This is the first song in which we learnt for the rehearsals which includes all the six wives, dancers and ensemble cast. As I am part of the ensemble there is only small chunks of this song that are repeated a couple of times which I have felt have been easy to learn and I feel as if I have got my harmonies sorted out, I just need to learn the words a little better as I get confused and sometimes sing some of the queen's lines like at the beginning only the queens are meant to say divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded and survived but I occasionally forget and say the words. Overall, I feel as if the cast as a whole has got all of our harmonies and lines almost perfected. However, we have now started learning the choreography for the song which is causing some people to only move and not sing. So, what we need to improve on is being able to perform the choreography as well as singing the lyrics in our correct harmonies.

No Way:

I feel as if the song "No Way" which is sung be Katherine of Aragon is the easiest song that we have learnt so fare. Us year 13 learnt it in class last Thursday which was quick and easy as we mainly say one-line lyrics that "n-n-n-n-n-n no way" which is repeated throughout the majority of the song. Then yesterday we gathered with the year 12 and sung it though which was simple, and we nailed it first go.

don't Lose your head and heart of stone

In today's lesson we went over two new songs just as a year 13 class. We started of learning lose your head which is a shortish song which we learnt easily as the main lyrics we sing is "ooh Hoo". The other lyrics we mainly speak to them meaning
